Here we go…
Democrats take control of the Senate (Allen (R-VA) concedes).
Bush: I’m open to new ideas Iraq ideas.
Now is the time for the Dems to live up to their promises (and, oh gods, please stop whining). Now is the time for our president to show his true character and legacy. If he works with the Democrats, he MIGHT be able to redeem the last six years of his presidency. If he simply vetoes everything placed on his desk, he will still go down in history as a pitiful president and his administration laughable.
Although, I still find it odd that Rumsfeld resigned right after the Democrats won the house and were speculated to win the Senate. Seems odd. What were they going to find on him?
Anyway, we’ll see what happens. I honestly and sincerely hope that the next two years go well and some progress can be made.
Good luck, Mr. Bush. I have hope, please don’t let me down.
